"Wrong library" error on login
How multi-tenant account routing works.
You sign in and immediately see "Wrong library" error.
What you're seeing
The sign-in form accepted your credentials but redirected you out with an error message.
Why
Each Shelfwise account belongs to one specific library. Trying to sign in at a different library's URL triggers the error.
Fix
- Look at the URL you're signing in at — is it your actual library's subdomain?
- If not, navigate to your library's URL (yourlibrary.tryshelfwise.com/auth/login)
- Sign in there
Forgot which library
- Try resetting your password from any library's sign-in page
- The reset email tells you which library the account is on
- Sign in at that one
Linking accounts across libraries
Not currently supported (each account = one library). To use multiple libraries, you need separate accounts with different email addresses.
Bookmarking your library
After you find the right URL, bookmark it. Reduces the chance of ending up on the wrong one.
