A signup email never arrived

Resend dashboard checks, spam folder, and resending the invite.

A new patron didn't receive their invitation email.

Most common reasons

  • Email is in spam folder
  • Email address has a typo
  • Mailbox is full
  • Sender domain is blocked

Check spam

First place to look. Search for "Shelfwise" in spam/junk folder.

Resend the invite

Settings → Users → find them → Resend Invite. A new invite is sent.

Verify email address

Settings → Users → find them → Edit. Check the email is correct.

Check Resend log

For admins with Resend dashboard access:

  • Find the email by recipient
  • See the SMTP response
  • "Bounced" or "Delivered to mailbox"

Add Shelfwise to allowlist

Some institutional emails (corporate, school) block unknown senders. Add hello@tryshelfwise.com to the allowlist.

Use a different email

If their primary email keeps bouncing, try a personal email. Update the patron record after they sign in.

Magic link from sign-in page

Alternative: instead of resending the invite, have them go to your library's sign-in page → "Forgot password" → enter their email. They get a reset link that works the same way.
