Trial reminder emails

When reminders fire, what they say, and how to opt out.

We send two emails during your trial — one as it's wrapping up, one when it ends.

"Trial ending tomorrow" — Day 6

Sent to every admin and librarian on your library. Subject: "Your Shelfwise trial ends in 1 day".

The email reminds you to add payment and links straight to your billing page. If you've already added payment, the email is suppressed.

"Trial ended" — Day 7

Sent when your trial ends without a payment method on file. Subject: "Your Shelfwise free trial has ended".

The email confirms that your data is safe and gives you a one-click link to set up billing whenever you're ready.

Why these matter

We don't auto-charge cards or convert trials silently. The reminder emails are how you decide to continue. If you miss them, you can come back to billing any time — there's no penalty for letting the trial lapse.

Stopping the reminders

If you've decided not to continue, you don't need to do anything. Reminders stop after day 7 when the trial ends. Your library sits paused and we don't email further.

Cron timing

The reminder cron runs daily at 16:00 UTC. If your trial ends at noon and you're in a non-UTC time zone, the "tomorrow" email may land within a few hours of your trial actually ending.

Still stuck? Email hello@tryshelfwise.comand we'll get back within one business day.
