How the 7-day free trial works
Day-by-day, no card required, and what happens at the end.
Every Shelfwise library gets a 7-day free trial when you sign up. No credit card required.
What's included
The trial unlocks the full Community plan. Every feature is available — no caps on books or patrons during the trial. You can fully evaluate Shelfwise against your real workflow.
Day-by-day
- Day 1: Signup → confirmation email → set password → land in your back office. Trial countdown starts.
- Days 2-5: Build your catalogue, invite your team, set up branding. Patrons can start using the library.
- Day 6: We email you a friendly reminder that the trial ends tomorrow.
- Day 7: Trial ends. If you've added a payment method, your subscription starts automatically. If not, your library is paused (paywall) until billing is set up.
Adding payment before the trial ends
Settings → Billing → Add payment method. Stripe Checkout opens — enter your card details. You're charged at the end of the trial, not immediately. Your trial rolls into your subscription seamlessly.
Extending your trial
Need more time? Email hello@tryshelfwise.com before day 7 and we'll add another 7 days at no charge.
What's preserved after the trial
Everything. Your books, patrons, loans, holds, settings — all of it stays in place. You can add payment any time to bring the library back online with no data loss.
Cancelling the trial
The trial cancels itself if you don't add payment by day 7. There's nothing to cancel and no charges to dispute.
