Your notifications

The bell badge, marking read, and notification settings.

Stay informed about your loans, holds, and library events.

Where

The bell icon in the top-right of your portal. A red dot means unread notifications.

Types of notifications

  • Your hold is ready for pickup
  • Your loan is due in 3 days
  • Your loan is now overdue
  • Renewal confirmation
  • A book you saved is now available
  • New replies in a book club you're in (if enabled)
  • Library-wide announcements (when an admin sends one)

Notification dropdown

Clicking the bell shows the 5 most recent. Click any to mark it read and go to the related page (book, loan, hold).

Marking read

  • Click any notification — it marks as read
  • "Mark all read" at the top of the dropdown
  • Notifications older than 30 days auto-mark as read

Email vs in-app

Most notifications come in two forms — email AND a bell entry. You can adjust which channel from Settings → Notifications:

  • Loans: in-app + email (default)
  • Holds: in-app + email (default)
  • Book clubs: in-app only by default

Turning off email

Settings → Notifications → uncheck "Email me about ..." for any category. In-app bell notifications keep working.

Mute everything

Settings → Notifications → "Pause notifications" — useful when on vacation. Resume later from the same page.
