Invite your first librarian or co-admin

Inviting staff from the Users page and what they receive.

Adding co-admins and librarians lets your team share the workload. The first admin is created during signup; you can invite as many as your plan allows.

Inviting someone

  • Settings → Users → Invite User
  • Fill in first name, last name, email, and role
  • Click Send Invite

They receive an email with a magic link to set up their password and sign in.

Choosing a role

  • Admin — Full access to settings, billing, users, and all library operations
  • Librarian — All circulation operations (checkout, returns, holds), patron management, and catalogue editing. Cannot change settings, billing, or invite users.
  • Member — Can place holds, save books, and view their own loan history. No back-office access.

Limits per plan

  • Starter: 1 admin (no additional staff accounts)
  • Community: Up to 5 admin/librarian accounts
  • Custom: Unlimited

Resending an invite

If a librarian's invite expired or got lost, find them in Settings → Users and click Resend Invite. The old invite is voided and a new one is sent.

Removing a user

Settings → Users → find them → Remove. Their account is deactivated immediately. Their loan history is preserved.

Changing someone's role

Settings → Users → find them → Edit. Pick a new role and save. The change takes effect on their next page load.
