Choose your admin theme color

Your brand colour controls the back-office theme — sidebar background, accent buttons, and chrome.

Where it appears

• Back office sidebar
• Section headers in admin pages
• Some accent buttons
• The Book of the Month gradient on your patron site
• Placeholder gradients for books without covers

Picking a colour

Settings → Appearance → Brand Colour

8 presets are available:

• Black (#1C1C1C) — Default. Neutral and safe.
• Navy (#1E293B) — Classic, professional
• Royal Blue (#1E40AF) — Bright and welcoming
• Forest Green (#166534) — Calm and natural
• Brown (#7C2D12) — Warm, traditional
• Burgundy (#7F1D1D) — Rich, heritage feel
• Light Gray (#F1F5F9) — Minimal, modern

Or paste a custom hex code (any value).

Contrast handling

Shelfwise automatically flips text colour based on your background brightness — light text on dark backgrounds, dark text on light. You don't need to worry about readability.

How changes propagate

Save the colour and it takes effect immediately:

• The back office reloads with the new theme
• The patron site picks up the new colour on next refresh
• Email templates use the new colour starting on next send
