Every new Shelfwise library starts with a free 7-day trial. No credit card required at signup.
What's included
The trial unlocks the full Community plan — every feature, no caps. You can fully evaluate Shelfwise against a real workflow before paying anything.
What happens on day 7
You'll get a reminder email the day before your trial ends. On day 7, if no payment method is on file, your library is paused:
- Patrons see a "subscription has ended" message instead of your catalogue
- Admin features other than billing and sign-in are blocked
- All your data is preserved indefinitely
Add a payment method at any time to bring the library back online — it picks up exactly where it left off.
Setting up billing during the trial
You can add a payment method any time before the trial ends:
- Settings → Billing → Add payment method
- Stripe Checkout opens — enter your card details
- You won't be charged until the trial ends; the trial period rolls into your subscription seamlessly
Can I extend my trial?
Yes — email hello@tryshelfwise.com before your trial ends and we'll add another 7 days at no charge if you need more evaluation time.
Cancelling the trial
The trial cancels itself if you don't add a payment method by day 7. There's nothing to cancel and no charges to dispute. Your data sits paused until you decide.
