Curated collections
Creating, adding books, and drag-to-reorder.
Curated collections let you group books by theme — Featured, Christmas, Staff Picks, Summer Reading — and feature them on the homepage.
Creating a collection
- Catalog → Collections → New Collection
- Give it a name and slug (the URL it lives at)
- Optionally add a description
- Toggle "Show on homepage" if you want it featured
- Save
Adding books
- Open the collection
- Click "Add books"
- Search by title, author, or genre
- Click books to add
- Drag to reorder
Reordering
Drag-and-drop reorders books within a collection, and reorders collections themselves on the homepage. The order saves automatically.
Removing books
Hover a book in the collection → click the X. The book stays in your catalogue, just leaves the collection.
Smart collections (auto-populated)
Some collections can auto-fill from a rule — e.g., "All books with tag 'staff-pick'". Settings → Collection → Smart rule → set a tag, genre, or search query.
Removing or archiving a collection
Collections → find it → Delete (or Archive). Deleting is permanent; archiving hides from patrons but keeps the data.
How many collections to feature
3-5 on the homepage tends to work best. More than that and patrons scroll past.
